Chateau Brissac

This chateau is sitting on top of a complex of underground tunnels and rooms used for defense during hard times by the local nobles. When they became more established they could then build an aboveground castle, seen now as the two partial circular towers that form two of the corners of the chateau. The rest was remodeled by the subsequent owners. Interestingly, the new owners nearly destroyed both towers when building the new chateau, but changed their minds and decided to keep the remnants of the 2 original towers.

This is the view from the road you will first see when arriving.

Closer view from the grounds. This is the tallest chateau in France.

View of the chateau and grounds from the back side as seen from near the creek.

Long range view from a hill on the far side of the creek.

From near the Chateau you can see the grassy fields with the creek behind. Beyond the creek are the vinyards and above that can be seen the Mausoleum peeking out of the trees.

Every chateau must of course have its own Equerry seen here just beyond the creek.
