Chateau Villesavin

The area was first inhabited by the Romans around 0 AD. It was later razed and rebuilt in the 15th century. The kitchens are still in use for special occasions and the 500 year old automated fireplace rotissery still works. There is also a copper vessel that was used to purify water using charcoal. Unfortunately charcoal does not remove bacteria! The outside shows the original style as well as a few Renaissance features added by later owners.
