Observing Nights Information
Observing Trip Details:
- a trip to a dark site (see this website for more details) to see constellations and view objects through small telescopes
- required for lab students
- lecture students welcome to attend (sign up in class)
- see table below for lab sections and the dates they will be going
- this trip is weather permitting, so check HERE by 5 pm on the day of your trip to see if it will be rescheduled for its rain date
- Meet: at the East End of Van Allen Hall (near Linn/Jefferson streets)
- When: 7 pm; buses will leave promptly at 7:15 pm
- Please dress appropriately - we will essentially be outdoors for 2 hours. There are indoor bathrooms and places to sit down, but please wear warm enough clothing and appropriate shoes (note: flip flops are not a good idea!). You don't need to bring anything with you. Your TA will take attendance at the beginning of the session.
