Matters of Interest
April 8, 2004

1. Basis of grade. $\frac{1}{3}$ each for first exam, special project, and final exam. In-class writing assignments as ``tie breaker'' Remember, they're good for you!.
2. Grading curve as published $\rightarrow$ assured grade. We will, if warranted, lower requirements according to our impression of class performance.
3. A major part of the course requirements is a ``project'', which will usually be a research paper. Due date on project will be Tuesday of last week of classes (May 4).
4. Review session will be scheduled for last class period (May 6).
5. Plebiscite: Do people want a chance to have a rewrite on the in-class writing exercises?
