- Description:
-
This is the second semester of a two-semester sequence covering
electricity and magnetism. This semester will cover electrodynamics,
electromagnetic waves, radiation, and relativity, as in Ch. 7-12 of
Griffiths.
We will focus on building a strong conceptual understanding of electrodynamics
and developing skills and experience in problem solving. This course utilizes
vector calculus extensively. Reading and homework assignments will be given on the
course web page. The three weekly lectures are given by Prof. Halekas.
