Charles Newsom:Research

As an experimental particle physicist, C. Newsom participates in many experiments around the world. He is currently involved in completing an analysis of a charm baryon experiment (SELEX) at Fermilab and in the research and development of a Pixel Detector at a new Fermilab colliding beam experiment (BTeV). He also helped lead the design and construction team of a new test beam facility at Fermilab. This facility is now up and running. It is being used by 2 different detector groups within his collaboration (CMS) and several other international groups.
